General:Michael Riedel Transformatorenbau GmbH’s RDSF series of sine wave filters (output filters for variable frequency drives) are precisely tailored to the technical requirements of modern drives (VFDs). The use of modern variable frequency drives in motor control results in high harmonic content in the pulsed output voltages. These “harmonic components” place additional strain on the motor insulation, leading to shorter motor service life.
